Our favorite softneck variety for flavor and large clove size. Bulb wrappers with striking dark red markings and clove wrappers streaked with red and pink. While this variety still often produces the classic artichoke "heart" of small cloves in the middle, we have been consistently selecting for fewer but larger outer cloves and now choose the softneck for personal storage since it requires less peeling. Moderate storage.
