This 2 lb sampler is perfect for the experienced home gardener. You'll recieve a 1/2 Pound of each of our 3 highly adaptable mainstays (all hardneck garlic varieties): Carpathian, Music, and Chesnok Red and a 1/2 lb of one of our specialty varieties chosen by us based on your location; along with our in-depth Guide to Growing Garlic to teach you all about the planting, seasonal care, and harvest & curing requirements for growing great garlic. Approximately 12-16 bulbs, with 80-100 cloves to plant, or about 25 ft of garden space (planted every 6" in 2 rows approximately 12" apart).
Carpathian is a Rocambole known for outstanding flavor, few double cloves, and easy to peel cloves. It's our longest storing Rocambole, I find myself still enjoying firm bulbs in March.
Music is a popular Porcelain known for it's extra large cloves. It is sweet and creamy when roasted.
Chesnok Red is a Standard Purple Stripe that has great flavor and is our best storing hard neck garlic. Chesnok is a great all purpose garlic; lovely when sauteed, flavorful raw, and makes a great powdered garlic.
